Mark Saggers and I were preparing to work at a Spurs game when Saggers suddenly noticed that NHL legend Wayne Gretzky was pitchside as a guest of the club. I was swiftly dispatched to bring ‘The Great One’ up to our broadcast point for an impromptu live interview with Saggers. Saggs rarely gets starstruck, but I don’t think I’m betraying a confidence when I say that he was on this occasion – as was I!
